Re: What made you choose?

I wanted an indoor cat but was here trying to learn more. I'm not quite sure why I fell for Dee...I think we were just destined to be together - I tell mark she is my cat soulmate haha x

Re: What made you choose?

I chose Gizmo because he was found in a barn with a littermate but no mummy cat near my son's girlfriend's house and we had recently lost our old Joshcat (13). Gizmo bit my fingers when I went to stroke him and my son said 'that's the one!'
I chose Mai Tai because I had been looking for a Siamese queen since losing my little LeiLou to a motorist two years ago. I was originally looking for a seal or chocolate point but her gorgeous blue colouring was so lovely I chose her. I've had Siamese for many years but she is the first blue I have had.

Re: What made you choose?

Selfish reason to start with to be honest I was lonely and wanted a house cat. Not the best reason I know but I did some research and found out that Burmese make excellent house cats. I now have 2 burmese and am no longer lonely and have the most fantastic loving cats and lots of friends. My first burmese was a rehomer, my 2 I have now were from good breeders. It doesn't matter where your cat comes from you just have to have at least one in your life.

It is not selfish at all!, you had all the time in the world for your cat! if anything it was a perfect reason.

Glad to hear you really do not feel lonely now, i think cats are just lovely! and so independent to, but some are up for having cuddles (which i am so glad Jinxy is, or else i would be clawed lol!!)

Re: What made you choose?

We always wanted a black kitty and found an ad in the paper where a family had rescued some kittens in an abandoned house. When we got there we immediately chose Salem (the black cat) and then from the corner of my eye I caught a glimpse of Marble and immediately said "we will take her too"! She was just so gorgeous and I had never seen a tortie before so we left with two!

Ever since I was a young girl I dreamt of having a british shorthair but never had the money to get one, so I saved and saved and we found Filou! we drove 2 hours to go see him and it was love at first sight

This is a great thread, its really interesting to see why people chose their cats, or their cats chose them!

Aww poor little kitty cat, really glad to hear you found her in the skip! why do people do these things eh! there are plenty of places you can put your cat if your unable to keep them.
Lovely to hear you have taken in failed fosters
