Nail Clipping Hell

I did something silly last night. I decided to clip Waffles nails whilst wearing one of my favourite tops! It is only a plain peach long sleeved thin top but I really loved it!

Anyway, I held Waffles whilst OH clipped her nails. She was fine at first and she is normally really good at this but she started to wail and then snap and hiss it was really bad.
She seemed very afraid of OH after that but like most cats she soon got over it.

Anyway... point is... I stood up and somehow she had managed to rip a hole in my top atleast it wasn't one of my Hello Kitty ones I suppose

That story isn't what I wanted to hear!!!

I am taking mine to get his claws clipped for the first time tomorrow at the groomers, I am just really scared he squirms away and gets loose.

Re: Nail Clipping Hell

ohgod I'm sorry.

No, the groomers will be professionals. Imagine silly old me and my silly OH trying to hold onto a rather strong cat

I wish (and so does my top) that we had gone to a groomers!

Your cat will be fine and you are doing the right thing. They will have a lot of experience and will know what to do

Re: Nail Clipping Hell

I hope so, I just have visions of him getting loose and running out the door.

I am just being soft really I guess, they are professionals.

I have two cats and they both need doing but I am testing it out on Mani first as Lola is really a timid little thing.

Fingers crosses it will go ok! I am not even comfortable with the car journey, he cries all the way there and all the way back...

Wow I think you're very brave trying to clip the nails! lol I know I couldnt get near mine with a pair! lol

Interesting though as Marbles nails are like little daggers ... would love to get them filed down!

Re: Nail Clipping Hell

Sorry to hear about your top! The things we end up sacrificing for the comfort of our cats eh?

Perhaps you could put a sew on hello kitty patch over the hole - instant conversion into a double favourite top?
