Hope you guys can help, I've got a 8-9 week old kitten and it can't seem to poo. I've given it Applaws Chicken and pumpkin and Beaphar Hairball paste which does seem to help but it does seem to struggle and if I feed anything else it comes back. It also have a very raw bottom and I think I saw a bit of blood when I tried to clean its bottom. It does seem to be urinating in the litter tray

Any advice?

I also tried to gently rub its belly to help aid the motion

plus it doesn't seem to be in any pain, not stop playful and really happy but I'm just worried

I intend to take it to the Vet tomor morning ASAP too

its probably the hairball paiste and other stuff you have been giving it. your kitten is only tiny still and their digestion cant cope with all these different things your giving them!

cod liver oil and stick to one main food, pref wet food as the dry food is obviously not doing any good!

but no more hairball paste!

Yes get the kitten to the vet asap as constipation in a young kittens can cause serious problems.

Depending how bad the constipation is your vet will either prescribe a laxative or he may have to manually extract the hardened stools from the bowel first.

aww poor sausage, hairball was given after. I'll keep you posted he is quite happy sleeping on my gf at the mo lol

Took him to the vets and when arrived he had done a perfect poo! lol Vet laughed and said he doesn't seem constipated. The stress of the Vets may have unblocked him and he gave him a jab to take care of his swollen butt. But he should be fine, I think the hairball paste and pumpkin may have had it mostly sorted.
