poppy looks a lovely cat i hope she comes home safe and sound
im sure she will my cat fluffy thats passed away now went missing for 3 weaks i ended up finding him in a old neiboughs shead seemed she had took a likeing to him a shouthim in her shead untel she could find me he had a name tag but it was the hardest and longest 3 weaks of my life so im sure your cat will find her was back safely

Awwwww I hope so, they do sometimes come home as if nothing has happened!

I've had a great response on here and from the posters we have put up and delivered to houses locally, and have had 3 possible sightings so far, which if all of them are of Poppy, is helping to build a picture of where she is exploring, although it seems to indicate she is covering quite a large area of Boscombe, so I am widening my search for her now...

Fingers crossed she is still safe, I'm sure she is... I'll make sure I keep all you lovely people updated!

Sorry to hear about Poppy being missing. I'm not that far from you (parkstone) although far enough away to not be able to help you look. Wish I could! It's nice to hear that quite a few people seem to be looking out for Poppy (3 possible sightings) so hopefully you'll be re-united v. soon.

I read somewhere that quite often a lost cat is found quite close to it's home - they get frightened and hide in garages, sheds etc. There's a link to a site here which has some interesting info (the numbered bits in red are particularly good I think as it gives some tips on how to try and locate your cat)

Just to keep you al updated...

I've had another call about Poppy this afternoon, she was seen looking lost, scavaging out of bins yesterday, but ran away when approached by the kind lady who spotted her... so it looks like Poppy's alive and well, but surviving on her wits!

So we have put up and delivered another 100 or so posters in and around the area she's been spotted just in case! We will find her! In the meantime, I'm doing my best to follow all the lovely advice you have all given to continue and improve my chances of finding Poppy...

I never dreamed this would happen and am really missing her (even though my other cat Narler is loving the peace and quiet and not having to compete for my attention... Lol!), but all this positivity is helping me hold out hope and remain determined to find her! Thanks to all of you, you are all giving me the strength I need to keep going!
