She cries cos she is lonely and the night time is when she is genetically programmed to be awake. Unfortunately by not keeping her confined to one room at night and sticking to your routine NO MATTER WHAT you have shown her that is she cries enough she gets attention, so she will carry on howling for that attention.

When you let her into your bedroom did you have a litter tray in there that she knew where it was? Kittens get confused and often will pee in odd places.

I think you have two choices - rehome her and get an older rescue cat that is passed the kitten phase or get her a companion.

yes there is a litter tray outside my bedroom door. which she knows where it is. also she is confined to one room (the kitchen) and i only let her in my room once due to the fact it was early and i was shattered.. i love her dearly. and ive had kittens in the past and they havent been half this trouble. infact by the 3rd week they have gotten into a routine.

I have a siamese cross fell cat and he is always awake at night. Its just instinct as you can most probably hear if your bedroom window is open in the night you can hear yowling and scrapping. My cat normally sleeps through the day only getting up for refreshments then stays out all night. I put a comfy chair and blanket in my summer house and he kips in there if it starts raining when hes out. Your kitten is too young to do this yet but it is a good idea for when hes older

Re: HELP NEEDED- 15 week old kitten wont sleep !

Hi there, I'm so sorry your having these problems and I hope she will let you sleep soon.

I have an 11 week old kitten who is slowly getting into a bedtime routine. I have her running the whole length of the room chasing a laser pen to ware her out if she is having a mad night and won't settle. If I use toys on strings and so forth she doesn't get nearly as tired.

I know how frustrating it can be. When I first brought her home she was confined to a spare room to keep her seperate from my other cat. She would scream blue bloody murder when the door closed. It's heart breaking but she got better if I ignored her. After the first few nights she would just go straight to her bed when I put her in there.

It sounds like your kitty is a vocal little one and I hope she gets better with time.
