Re: HELP NEEDED- 15 week old kitten wont sleep !

Get a laser pen and really get her running and leaping about, real proper exertion. My cats have mad moments at night still every so often, it's just something that happens. Tbf, all my troubles with my first kitten stopped when I got a second one, (the biting and the scratching).
But yes! A laser pen will really get her racing about the house, moreso than any other toy I've ever come across. Do you keep her confined to a single room at night? Cause I do with mine and they cry for a bit to be let out, (they're in my bedroom), but I simple tell them it's bedtime, give them a few treats that I chuck under the bed to take thier minds off the fact that they have to go to sleep now and they always end up settling down.
Sorry if it's not much help. But good luck!

Sorry you're having this much trouble, it must be really difficult.

Another kitten of the same age would probably help but of course you don't want to double your problem, do you know anyone with a similar aged kitten who you could borrow for a couple of nights?

Just a thought as you seem, understandably, desperate.

No doubt they would still be noisy playing (a herd of elephants spring to mind) lol but at least if they had each other they wouldnt be screaming at you!

Hmmmm. OMG, my cats and kitten are up through the night, sometimes it wakes me, but I tend to just sleep through it now, most of the time. Do you think you could do something to calm yourself so that YOU sleep through, because once your kitten realises that going on and on gets him nowhere until a specific time like the 7.30 alarm clock ring, I think he will settle.

Or get him a freind, so he can be up and play but not cry of lonliness!

Re: HELP NEEDED- 15 week old kitten wont sleep !

She still hasnt slept... was up with her at 1 untill 3... she finally settled then was up again at 7. there is no way i can have another kitten as the neighbours are already complaining about this one. shes getting worse not better. the other night i let her in my room as i was exhausted after being at work all day and she Peed on the bed. So at 3 in the morning i was changing the sheets, i took her to the vets yesterday and he checked her over and said she looks fine. im utterly shattered....... and dread going to bed. even getting home from work n falling asleep on the sofa as im that done in!

I'm afraid then it may be time to advertise for a new home for her, explaining why, and about neighbours and at least the neighbours will be happier to know that you are doing that. You can say that you will want to visit any new home.

I'm sorry I cannot offer any more advise, do you live near anyone on this board?

Re: HELP NEEDED- 15 week old kitten wont sleep !

I'm afraid I would agree with Shmitty, it really sounds like she may need a friend as shes a little hyper! so maybe someone who has a kitty already. I know its hard but you cant carry on without sleep and have a job to go to every day and in the future maybe think about adopting a older kitty who will have grown out of the kitty manic stage!

Please think about it
