Some posts I have seen recently have really put me off. I would probably be considered cruel by some, as I intend to let my cat out at night and back in the morning. I intend to feed him commercial food...having seen the price of the high meat content ones I can't afford. I intend to leave him during the day in the house as he is going to be company for the dog. I will have him neutered as soon as I am able and I can afford, this may not necessarily be at 5 months on the dot.

My friends and family have had cats that have been un-neutered, un-vaccinated, and fed purely on scraps or purely on dry food. No harm has come to them.

I am an administrator on another forum (in my signature) and I know how heated things can get. I do not want to be jumped on for doing something that some people do not agree with. So I am off.

Malaguti - thank you so much for the cabin, it has provided Jemima with much needed and very much appreciated shelter. She has taken to it like a duck to water, and is very grateful. I have your address still and will send you a photo of her when I can finally get to take a picture with her in it!!

What a shame, please don't go I'm new here (but have been a lonstanding member on another forum for around 6 years) so please reconsider - forums are not the nicest of places sometimes but you have to learn to ride the waves. I've lived a long time and don't really care what others think of me, I'm thickskinned and can take it. Best thing you can do sometimes is switch the computer off, have a cuppa take a deep breath and come back to threads when you feel able to reply. Just because people don't agree with what you do, does not always mean that they are right - you have to do what is best for you and right for your situation

Your cat, you can do things how you like and what you think is best for him / her. But yes, if the forum upsets you then there is no point being here. It's not always like this though.
