Oh my god the same thing happened to my mum...but the cat was living in my mums house and it wasnt until i went home to visit i told her it was Flea *Felix* she realised it was the Spit of him down the road...lol turns out they swapped places!! Flea was safely returned to us and never went back lol! He must if got confused hehe!!

LadySmiley, please do reconsider your decision. Ive been having a good read the past 30 mins or so, and i can see why you feel the way you do.

I have 5 cats, all moggys, all but one are rescues. I feed mine Hills dried ad lib, and in the evenings they get 3 sachets between them, either whiskas or felix as good as it looks. 2 of mine spend all night outside, that it their choice. The others like to sleep in, and spend the day in the garden.

I have one cat, Mole, who basically spends his whole life outside. He doesnt want to be an indoor boy, and i have to respect that. He has a kennel in the garden i fill with straw, and 99% of the time hes in there, only coming in for food and the occassional fuss. He looks a right mess, he over grooms his belly, and ignores the rest of himself. but hes happy, and thats the main thing.

There is no right or wrong way of keeping or feeding a cat, there's just personal choice. Having an indoor cat isnt cruel, having an outdoor cat isnt cruel. Aslong as we are doing the best we can for our pets, and they are healthy and happy, then thats all that matters in the long run.

Sadly though, there is a wrong and right way of putting your view point and opinion across, and some people just lack manners. You have to rise above it, and realise it reflects badly on them, not you.

Hi all...thanks for your kind words. I am not normally a stroppy person...just something got my goat earlier!
