Looking for a free kitten

I am looking to adopt a male short hair kitten to replace the cat we have lost. I am in London and will be interested to hear from anyone who wish to give a free kitten to a good home.

Re: Looking for a free kitten

hello GeordieBabe,

Hmm you could be right I have been looking a for a about a week now and still no luck. Certainly don't want to be paying for a kitten as I well be paying vet bills to get get it de-wormed, and vaccinated etc. Our last cat decided to run away and join the local cat mob in the neighbourhood despite good food and home. Guess my little boy will just have to hold out for his kitten until we get lucky.

Mmmmmm cats don't usually run away from a good home, they are clever little things and know a good thing when they have it!!! Maybe someone in your household was cruel to it? That maybe you don't know about??? Or if you didn't get him neutrered, there is a possibilty of him roaming, but even then he would come back. I wouldn't like to give you a kitten based on those facts.....sorry!!!

Ouch! I think it's a bit unfair to be making those sort of judgements about someones' home. You don't know anything about them. The op came on for advice and at least they aren't willing to support a byb by paying the earth for a kitten. I've taken in 'free to a good home' kittens before. It does happen.

Re: Looking for a free kitten

I agree, nothing wrong with a 'free to a good home kitten', I got two of my cats that way. And ALL 4 of my cats are neutered/spayed so I do not breed!!! If you read their post, their cat is not 'lost' it has went semi-ferral and joined a ferral cat colony. That means to me I am not far from the mark on this one! Sorry, to be mean but sometimes the truth hurts!!!!

I had a cat that ran away, it happens you may be surprised to hear. He preferred chasing mice & voles & when he was still coming home we wouldn't see him for two to three week intervals. Some cats, would you believe, prefer the great outdoors sadly.

Re: Looking for a free kitten

Maybe try battersea if you're in london, they are bound to have kittens. Ok you will need to make a donation but the kitten will already be vaccinated etc.. Just a thought.

Battersea has a kitten waiting list and it's difficult to get one when you want it. They also require a donation and have a very thorough chk of the home and family adopting.
