Question How much should my kitten be eating?

Hiya

I had my kitten Garfield yesterday and he is currently eating Felix kitten pouches. I'm not sure of how much to give him in a day? He came home bout 6pm and I gave him a pouch then. I left it down for him as he was goin back and forth to it while exploring and got up this morn and he had a little left?

Do you think 1 pouch a day is to much?

Thanks

How old is he?

We got Fluffy when he was 9 weeks old and to start with he had 1/3 of a pouch of Whiskas kitten 3 times per day.

This gradually increased, then I swapped him onto Hi-Life as it's better quality. Now at 6 months he has 2-3 pouches of Hi-Life and a handful of Origen dry food per day!

I'd feed him little and often then. Just offer a small amount of food (1/3 of a pouch) 3 or 4 times per day, if he eats it all you can always give a bit more!

Was it a difficult birth? He he he - sorry, couldn't resist when you said you'd had the kitten yesterday.

And the worst bit is I haven't even got an answer to your question...
