Some general tips when considering adopting a pedigree/non pedigree cat/kitten
A lot of people have had some bad experiences with registered and non registered breeders so i thought since we all have experience we could share our tips for anyone who decides they would like to adopt a cat/kitten:
For a pedigree cat, look on varied websites for your chosen breed and research the breeds character, temperament and dietary needs carefully. Then when you find a cattery that you like, check out the guest book's link and read the different comments(sometimes you may be able to contact someone who's also had a cat/kitten from that cattery and you will gain some more in depth knowledge,I would say make sure also that the prefix(name) of the cattery is registered with all 3 Cat Councils-Tica,GCCF and Fife or at least one of these,it doesn't guarantee anything really but it means you have access to any past/present info on cats/kittens.
And if you are satisfied thus far with chosen cattery arrange a visit so you can see where the cats live, how they live and also check out the health of the cats, the temperament and how social or non social the cats/kittens are.
