Those of you that read my ,Cat Napper 'thread will know that I'm considering taking on an adult rescue at the mo (don't think there's any chance of me getting Smudge back

Look who I found on one of my local shelter websites while I couldn't sleep last night. He's called Tigger and is a 4 year old boy who needs a new home asap (though it doesn't say why)

Looking for lots of v. persuasive reasons why I should enquire about him pls......

Is it any harder having a 'boy'? Do they still spray when upset once they've been neutered?

They can do, but I think you may get smudge back yet.

Thanks for saying that! I am being v. impatient I suppose esp. when it comes to Smudge. Never thought life could feel so empty without a cat

The OH keeps saying don't go back to the neighbours - he reckons it could get nasty if I keep on about their cat.


Made me laugh when you said get them both - I'd looove that! House is way too small for two though plus Smudge wouldn't stay for 5 mins if she found another cat in 'her' spots lol

Yeah I do. A big part of me knows I need to wait, otherwise I'm just going to expect any new cat to behave like Smudge. I read a lovely quote the other day which said 'Cats are like Snowflakes, each one is different, special and unique' - very true!

The worst thing is mornings without my furry alarm clock. I've never been good at getting out of my pit but when Smudge was around, suddenly it wasn't a problem! Amazing what it does for my mood for the rest of the day as well - who wants a nasty blaring, grating alarm clock when you can have insistent miaowing and purring lol

I've always had neutered boy cats and never had any problems, no unwanted pregnancies either They've always been mummy's boys too who follow you around and want cuddles My preference is always boy cats and girl dogs but thats because its what I've grown up with but really would depend on personality rather than sex
