Re: Kitten safety

hi

just incase anyone else is looking for one to own longterm these pens are fab, with room for litter tray, bowls, toys and a bed

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/36-Black-Metal...3A1|240%3A1308 and come in various sizes from the seller... well worth the money!

Also useful in future for cage rest, when decorating, keeping cats safe during hazards (ie moving furniture etc)

Re: Kitten safety

yep i use those but the xxl sized ones for my fosters and kittens. I do prefer the hard airline ones though for reasons below...

Word of warning though with kittens. I have heard of a terrible accident with one kitten hanging itself after squeezing its head through the bars and not being able to get free. I now line all of mine with cardboard while the kittens are young to prevent this happening.

Re: Kitten safety

Just wanted to say a huge thank you to Indy's mama. She has now solved our problem and is always so helpful.

I'd would be lost without the help from people on the forum. Good rep coming your way Indy

Re: Kitten safety

have to say never had an issue with Indy or Misha in the crates... heads didn't fit through gaps

Billysboymamma - the reason Nina wanted crate rather than just use carrier is room for a litter tray/bowl of water so Harry can be popped in there when she isn't around to keep safe from accidents with her other cat and dog which is the same reason I had it... wasn't sure how well my aging dogs would accept a kitten and better safe than sorry

awh thanks for the Rep Nina I am always happy to help where I can... hopefully after I finish my animal care/therapy course I will be doing it for a living

Very much appreciated. Your quite right Indy, in that I want Harry to be away from Ed's clutches, just in case she is jealous of him. He is also used to a crate at night, so it is added security for his first couple of weeks.
