We get our scratching posts from eBay. We get large ones for around £50 delivered.

I like the outdoor type the last forever(well a lonnnnnng time )
My stud boy has one and they can be very easily made





Also these are the best indoor type

Nah - doesn't sound odd. I take it you have carpet?! (Now seeing a cat clawing a wooden floor, or tiles - that WOULD be odd!)
