Another horror story

This weekend, one of the cats in our care (newly from rescue), had managed to get his front leg through his collar and the result from extremely nasty. It wasn't even an elastic one! Our sitter cut it off straight away, bathed the wound in salt water and applied savlon.

It was only a matter of hours since our last visit, but it just goes to show how much damage can occur when this happens

Re: Another horror story

I have to say, since reading the link you put on my post about collars, my two have been without. You never think that collars could lead to such injuries.

Re: Another horror story

Shelby (dog) doesnt wear her collar unless she is away from the house. I have heard some real horrors in both cats and dogs. x

Re: Another horror story

Timmy only has his on when I take him to the vets etc. he's an indoor cat so doesn't need it on the rest of the, he is also chipped

My old cat never had any problems with his collar but then he didn't even seem to notice he wore one lol
