My cat eats plastic bags

hi..

Your problem is not uncommon and there is nothing wrong medically. Many cats have this plastic fetish..

Actually, some plastic bags do taste good to kitties. There are oils used in the process of making the bags, and some types of bags use fish oils which are attractive to cats.

the only way to stop your cat from eating plastic is to keep all plastic away. I know it's often inconvenient and requires constant thought. keep the bags in drawer or containers with lids. you will notice sea changes and your cat will ultimately stop eating plastic bags..
best of luck..

hiya,

thank u for ur post

Must say i got used to him after such a long time crunching on plastic all night trying his best to keep me awake lol

He would choose plastic over any treat, i think its the noise it makes what attracts him too as he actually doesnt swollow it, he just chews on it whenever he gets a chance lol

we keep plastic bags away but he will search the whole house for any bits laying about
