Re: Could someone be taking the collars?

Lol at the collar tree Must be one of those in my garden as Gizmo can lose a collar within half an hour. I've given up buying them for him - I've told him if he wants people to think he's a stray that's his problem I don't have many neighbours so I can't see anyone taking the collars for their own cats - in fact there aren't any other cats near us.

Re: Could someone be taking the collars?

So annoying as collars aren't cheap these days!
I was getting the Ancol reflective for my kitten as he was blind in one eye. All three wore them and lost them. I assumed it was the 'quick release' function. Like you - it was more to save the birds really...

Re: Could someone be taking the collars?

He probably twigged how to get it off & does it all the time now. Mine twigged how to & if I put our collar on her she puts her paw through it and yanks it off!!!

Re: Could someone be taking the collars?

I have removed other cats collars before either because they were old and manky, or too tight but I doubt any of you do that to your cats, but my cat Muira used to take hers off!!
