Re: dont know if this cat is a stray cat or house cat
oo, no - just watched that - he needs a vets - he has askin complaint by the looksof it as well as the matt and is very skinny. He probably has fleas and worms too if he's a stray. A house to stay in is all very well but please take him soemwhere he can be tended to.

Re: dont know if this cat is a stray cat or house cat
Hi,
God that poor poor cat. I would prefer to think he/she is a stray, I can't bear to think that someone would let their cat get like that. Needs veterinrary treatment, Im sure the blue cross or PDSA would help you out. As someone else suggested don't involve the RSPCA as they don't like hard work and will almost certainly put the cat down ![]() Looks quite Maine coon like or very damn near. I really hope you manage to get he/she sorted out, it must be so uncomfortable bless it. Try and avoid the ham, basic cat food is needed and just drinking water. Keep us posted and well done for helping Beastie out, I imagine with a bit of work this could be "Beauty" instead ![]() Izzie

Re: dont know if this cat is a stray cat or house cat
There is certainly fur missing from the side but by the looks of it my guess is that it has just pulled out - perhaps a huge matt. I have seen this before. The skin doesn't look bad underneath. Do please get this cat scanned for a cip, it could have been missing for some time, perhaps jumped in a car or perhaps been removed by some cat hating neighbour and dumped miles from home, such things do happen.

i think your doing a great job so far of looking after beastie, but as everyone says beastie does need to see a vet for various reasons, do you have a local pdsa centre you can take beastie to ? you should be eligible PDSA - Eligibility there are quite a few centres in and around london/ dagenham also the cat protection league can help as well im sure, good luck |
