Re: cat info help! cats reaction?

Both my cats react but one gets really paranoid. She looks nuts and overreacts to sounds...just hyper. Odd.
The other gets more playful.

Re: cat info help! cats reaction?

I have six cats and five do react to it. One just rubs his face along the toy and goes all squirmy (very technical term!) and others are more hyper with their eyes dilating. Then they just flake out usually. I also have some catmint in a pot in the garden and that is a very popular spot with the cats.

An alternative to catnip is honeysuckle - some cats that don't react to catnip may react to honeysuckle.

Re: cat info help! cats reaction?

I put yes, she goes nuts! I keep all her toys in her carry case in the study as she's not normally allowed in there without supervision. She snuck in this morning though whilst OH was feeding the dragons....

For the first 10 mins she is really playful, running around like a kitten and being very affectionate. Then for about 30 mins she becomes really paranoid, jumpy and just hides. Even if you offer her a treat she runs away from you. For this reason I thinki'm going to stop giving her catnip.

Re: cat info help! cats reaction?

I have two cats, one male and one female. They both react to it differently...

Mani (tabby male 3) goes crazy runs up and down the stairs, pupils dilated, very playful.

Lola (tabby female 4) rubs herself on the area I have sprayed with Catnip and seems to send her very sensual, almost as if she's trying to attract a mate (hussy!)
