I agree with confining him to one room until he's using the litter tray, this will cause less stress all round. Cat Attract is really good and Pets at Home do a very good clumping kitten litter too and that's a bit cheaper.

It is strange because when we got our two kittens, straight away without even saying they went straight into the cat litter tray which we were amazed about, so we did not have the problem in training them.

What we do have the problem with is stopping them from wrecking our wall paper, we keep on re-decorating because they find it fun in ripping the wall paper

Im pretty sure that he is under no stress or shock, he is always happy and very affectionate, plus he has his brother with him
