My first present
I was taking great pleasure in watching Lucky roam my garden earlier on today, when i saw her crouch, pounce and then proudly run straight back to the house to show Mum & Dad what she'd caught.
My reaction - small scream, "no no no no oh my god shes got a butterfly". His reaction, bend down get her to let it out & then "don't worry she's let it go and its flown away". He's dealing with all presents from now on alive or dead.

Oh god no. Met up with someone today who says that her cat has brought in birds and mice & which shes had to evict during the day and night - could not be dealing with that mess. Thankfully mine are only allowed out during the day but am now having visions of butterflys flying round the house when i get in from work (or worse).

Ah butterflies are sweet. We used to have a cat that left peices of dead rabbit in the garage
. Gizmo just leaves bits of mice or rats by the back door - he's never brought any in thank goodness. i don't think he appreciates me throwing the remains into the field for the crows and magpies
