Kittens for sale ?
Sadly we lost our cat recently and it was devastating for us as had him such a long time and he was part of the family.
We know we can not replace him but we do feel we want to give a loving home to a kitten . We have been going on pet sites and to be honest feel very shocked by how much people are wanting for kittens that are not pedigree. I have seen £100 mainly and going up to £200. While I realise it is best to charge something to try and make sure it is going to someone who really wants one, I feel it is exploiting people and also the poor cats. I mean obviously people are wanting money so when the cat has kittens chances are they will breed it again. I even saw one person selling kittens saying the mother had been killed and she was selling for a friend this was in a certain area last summer and the same area same post again mother killed selling for a friend. Just wondered what peoples views were on this ? |

Re: Kittens for sale ?
I hope you get one, if you know the sort of kiitten you are after perhaps you could post a wanted ad in the classifieds, there is a member on here Kelly-Joy who works with rescues and maybe able to advise you of kittens in your area. Or maybe Purrfect might be able to help you out too.

Re: Kittens for sale ?
its mental isnt it, the thing is if you charge a small amoutn for kittens like £30 - £40 like i did, you wouldnt make anything back because of the costs of feeding the queen and the litter and the damages (poo and wee damage you all know what i'm talking about) plus vet checks for queen and kittens you would really not be making much back, which is fine, people shouldnt be charging to make a profit on moggies IMO, Much better to go to a rescue center and pay the extra aas a donation to help others

Re: Kittens for sale ?
Also, i'd like to point out the lower costed kittens seem to come from like-minded people who dont see the point in making money off the animals, I know from experience these are the peopel who have shown the little kittens much love and its reflected in the kittens behaviour.

Re: Kittens for sale ?
Thank you Izzie
![]() We do have a few young cats up for adoption and 1 older kitten 10 months old. But we also have older cats who can be just as playfull and as lovable as a kitten or young cat. Where abouts are you? We only ask for a reasnoble donation for the cats we rehome. You will find the links to my adoption site below.

Re: Kittens for sale ?
Thanks I will do that.
I do not mind paying especially to a rescue centre as I do realise they have costs. Ours was a lovely long haired ginger and white cat and we would love another but any male long haired cat would be lovely . |

Re: Kittens for sale ?
HI there sorry cross post.
It would have to be a kitten though and a young one as I feel our other cat would cope with that better. We rescued her from my husbands work and had to catch her with a landing net. She was not use to humans at all and it took a lot of time to tame her and trust us. We are in Lincolnshire but can travel. |
