Re: Pure White Kitty!
Go with your gut instinct, if you are worried then you should feed it, if it was being looked after it wouldn't be in that state would it?
I know the general consensus of opinion is not to feed cats that come into our gardens but I think deep down you know this kitty needs caring for. Izzie

Re: Pure White Kitty!
hello, you should capture it and take it to the vet to see if its chipped, even if its owners are close by it might shock them into keepign an eye on thier kittie some more, really at its age i would still only be letting it out under supervision for small intervals. If its a stray then you need to get it into rescue asap, especially if there is a tom loitering around, if its female its still too young to come into heat (i think usually around 10 months is average) but you cant be sure its only 5 months, and if its male it could get some nasty injuries from the tom.
Can you put some posters around? Also white cats are prone to deafness its possible its got out and been spooked too far from home. |

Re: Pure White Kitty!
I have a fair idea where it's come from, and it's an awkward situation.
I do remember someone saying to me they had a pure white kitten, around September time, and that they were going to keep it in. However this little thing looks too rough for a cat that's supposedly been kept in. I know I should ask them but if they say it's theirs, then what do i say. Do I tell them off for not caring for it properly. I would have to, and that's pretty confrontational isn't it. Would it be better to take it to some official cat charity and tell them where I think the cats from, and maybe they could ask the owners if they still want the cat. Oh I dunno what's best. I'm gonna have to ask them aren't I! |

Re: Pure White Kitty!
you need to ask - It may be he got out and couldn't find his way home. Don't tell them off just ask if they have lost their kitty. Then if it is theirs you can help them catch it and if it isn't catch it and take oit to the vets to see if it is chipped.

Re: Pure White Kitty!
It has been said in other posts that it isn't nice to encourage cats into your garden/house with food BUT considering this kitty doesn't look quite right and is without a collar I would be tempted to feed it. If it was leaping around and had a collar then I certainly wouldn't feed it.
Also, contact the suspected owners and if you have no luck there then go to the vets with it like others have suggested, |

If you can get it to come to you then I would and give it some food while you contact the people you think it may belong to. Best of luck xx

Re: Pure White Kitty!
as others have said, a white cat with blue eyes is often deaf, so if it did escape then would be very easy for it to get lost.
Good luck with catching the little mite and finding its family
