Re: Pure White Kitty!

I think if it looks a bit rough then you should feed it - do what your instincts tell you

Re: Pure White Kitty!

He might be lost can you try and capture it with some tuna/smelly food?

I guess all situations are different, feeding my cat could literally end his life as he would need a operation if he ate biscuits

Good luck x

(P.S. Who the hell moves and leaves their cat behind?!?! )

Re: Pure White Kitty!

I have a pure white cat who is deaf and partially sited - i would hate to think that if he got lost due to his disabilities that someone wouldnt try to catch him and get him checked out.

Re: Pure White Kitty!

I gave it some food last night just to get a look at it, it was very scared, however, it didn't seem to be deaf as when I made funny 'bird noises ' with my mouth it did look at me, I touched it a little, it's extremely boney and it's neck looked sore. It has fleas too.
I will ask the owners today. I am not looking forward to that.

well, you know that you did the right thing - if it is boney it is obviously suffering. good luck talking to the owners

Re: Pure White Kitty!

have you reported it to come charities yet? CPL for example can take a while before they can come and get an animal, in the event of it not being wanted anymore it would be wise to call them asap and get it on the waiting list, same with any other local cat charities

Re: Pure White Kitty!

Sorry I was stuck in hospital last night with my baby. Anyway, yes I managed to talk to the owners EX on facebook chat, I saw she was online and so I just went right out and said

Has 'insertname' lost his white kitten as there was one in my garden last night and it looked a right state, it has fleas and is skinny and looks really rough.

She said he may have, as his has a skin complaint and fleas and he doesn't want it anymore but she is gonna take it to her house once it's fleas have got cleared up.
I told her of some good stuff to get from ourt local vet and she said she was going to get it, and take the cat home.

Then this evening when I got back from the childrens ward, the white kitty is on my doorstep looking as **** as ever, so I messaged her to say, did she get the stuff for the fleas yet, and she said 'she couldn't afford it, as she has no job but she is getting it soon'

Can the cats protection league help with this?

I will go on at her until something is done, I already told her it's gonna need neutering. Apparently the bloke dont want it anymore because it keeps getting fleas. FFS they make me so angry, I can't take it in, but I will call in a cat charity if it goes on for too long, because i can't watch the kitty look that rough!

They are a bit they keep getting cats and never look after them properly.
