Re: cant save them all

Well I am glad that me slagging of the RSPCA didnt rile anyone up. I am howver, very worried with these responses!! I cant believe the lack of effort in some cases.... am i right in thinking the RSPCA are government funded? such a shame.... when i used to work for 999 people called in about animals because RSPCA werent doing anything.... someone rang once and said hes just run over a cat made me cry

Re: cant save them all

No they're not government funded. They get all their money from the general public, who seem to just keep on and on giving to them despite all the bad publicity. The trouble is, the bad publicity never seems to make it into the papers

Re: cant save them all

I only ever give to smaller local charities in any case, animal or otherwise, as i think the money gets eaten up by larger charities in other ways such as admin and advertising. With smaller charities you know your money is going directly into helping, and you can see the result first hand.
