Is Iams a good quality cat food? PLEASE HELP! :)

I heard that it doesn't provide all the nutrients a cat should need. But I thought that beacuse it is comericalised it must be good?

And if it is not good can anyone suggest a cat food that is but is of a similar price?

And by the way is this scratching post a good one?:Cat Scratching Post Wave On Posts Trees Scratch

Luv hannah xx XD xx

Re: Is Iams a good quality cat food? PLEASE HELP! :)

LOL, no no, no food is good just cos it's comercialised hun x

and IAMS is definitely not one i would ever feed mine, i would personally look for things with less wheat/crap in it x

the only commercial dry i use is JamesWellbeloved, otherwise i use holistic dry food like eaglepack,porta21, almo nature (all available from zooplus.co.uk)

i feed less of this than wet food though, it's more down for a bit of grazing throughout the day but only a couple of bowls now compared to what i used to x

KK kinda turned me round to the thinking that dry is way less good for them (see KK, you do some good for definite lol) x

What do you feed yours now out of interest? x

Oh, as for the scratcher, i have the larger version of that one for one of my stud boys in his pen, he loves it x

Definitely agree with Lou on this. Commercial prodcers would have us believe that Whiskas is good too! Mine have James Wellbeloved or Royal Canin biscuits but only for nibbling. Wet food is far better and the higher meat content the better too.

No, I hear it's not great. Also, the company tests on animals.
I've not looked in to them in a while, but I'll be willing to be they have not changed their ways.

They aren't any better! 4% meat or meat derivatives! Sounds yeurch! Look for good quality with at least 50% meat in it.

It can't be alright in any sense if they still test on animals.
