penelope is on a distinguished road
another one or not???

hi all i am fairly new to posting so there may be a thread about this already, apologies if there is just point me in right direction.
you may have already read about my kitties. i rescued 2 from CPL in aug but sadly one, toffee, contracted FIP and was put to sleep on xmas eve, luckily "snuggle" is very healthy and we adore her. Together they were the best of friends like sisters should be until toffee got sick. even then snuggle seemed to look after her, clean her etc.
I always think kittens are happier in pairs but is it wrong of me to introduce another now as she is used to being alone again? or is she still young enough to adapt to a new friend? she will be aprox 8 months.
thanks in advance for any advice.
xxxxxx

Re: another one or not???

if she liked company before then she would probabely accept another friend happily enough, just take the intros steady and she'd prob like having a playmate again

Re: another one or not???

I think it would be great to get another one for her. She is still very young. I introduced a new kitten to our 2 other cats who were both aged 5 years at the time and they all got on. Some people say that if you already have a girl then it's easier to introduce her to a little boy. I would be interested to hear what other people thing to this.

Re: another one or not???

I'm sure Snuggle is young enough to adapt quite quickly to having a new playmate. I would go for another kitten
