Re: absalutely gutted

I keep meaning to take my cats to get them micro chipped i really should look into it as you said it always is too late when you realise.

I know that cats are incredibly good with things like being spayed thats not my problem, my other cat was fine and i was thinking wow if that was me i would be layed up for weeks moaning.

The problem i have is my other cats are a bit mad and even as we speak they are darting round chasing ech other over the settees and up the stairs.....driving me mad

They all play rough and i dont want her to have to put up with that when she has stitches its a bit too much they really are a mad lot.

Shes fine for now she will be in at the vets near the back end of the summer i should imagine

It is amazing what they can put up with though - Waffles was jumping all over her cat tree, the dining table and the windowsills and chasing balls etc etc - good luck when you do do it though.

Re: absalutely gutted

I am so glad your cat is back hun. I bet you are so relieved now. Give her a big cuddle from me. xx

what is the matter with some people on this forum!!

The lady has her own reasons for not getting her cat spayed and thats it!!

Why the hell are you all having a go at her because her cat got out and went missing (No fault of her own) Her Oh let the cat out!!!

Leave the woman alone and get on with looking after your own animals!!!! mad:

She is kept as an indoor cat and no accidents have happened up to scratch apart from my OH putting her out the other night in a fit of anger.

I am not getting her spayed until we move house regardless of what reasons you all make...im not stupid i know the reasons for and against spaying.

My house is all open plan and i have young children, and also a young cat around 5 months who loves nothing more then to chase her around and bite at her, i have other cats too....i have had cats spayed before and know they just want to relax......so tell me where is my cat going to relax???.....theres no rooms barring the bathroom or my sons bedroom which are shut off....my tom is neutered and had she been a tom i would have had her done but not with the stitches in this house.

I am moving house this summer and will be getting her spayed then

Imagine if i do as you all say get her spayed and then in a weeks time she has her stitches pulled out and ends up in the vets again....i imagine you would then say how irresponsible i am again saying i shouldnt have subjected her to it.

she is back by the way for those of you who care

Glad she is back, did your OH get a telling off?? Mine would have lol.

Re: absalutely gutted

I'm so glad your cat is back, it must be a huge weight off your mind.

Just for info, and I'm not picking, just advising, my cat was spayed on Monday. She didn't have any external stitches, she was stitched inside and glued together on the outside so there was nothing to catch/pull at. And 5 mins after getting home and eating 2 pouches of food she was running round the living room just below the ceiling, bouncing off walls, slipping over on laminate flooring and generally being a huge pain in the backside!!!

I'm sure your cat will be fine when she's done, but as a lot of others have said, the timing is up to you, we're just here to support you!
