My siamese kitten coming a long way

I am now thinking of things that me and Sydney can do together.

He has come such a way since a week ago from today when we brought him home. he was a shivering timid wreck who would not purr or anything. Now he is so much more vocal and runs up to us when we call him, he sleeps with us, he sits on us, he purrs very loudly, scampered across the room follows our big Bill everywhere! Irritates me!

He loves biting my fingers and licking them, and he loves being stroked. he also loves pen lids and will chew them as I write! He is so sweet! But he is turning into a little rascal. he loves to chew my hair

How do you train siamese? What types of things can you train them to do?

As I write this he is sitting on my lap playing with my hair and trying to bite my fingers as I type

Re: My siamese kitten coming a long way

Have you tried getting him to retrieve? One of mine loved to chase screwed up ball sof paper, and would not give up until she found it. I used to line up vases, bins, boxes etc and aim for them!! Good luck!

Re: My siamese kitten coming a long way

Ha ha! Welcome to the joys of Siamese kitties Leah! They love to be with you all the time and to talk to you to. I've not had one yet that doesn't like to play fetch. Our current fetch toy is a bit of fur (not very pc I know but it came with my da Bird attatchements) We call it her rabbit and she will carry it around all day waiting for us to play fetch. If I don't play she sits on me with it fighting with it so that I have to throw it to get her off me so the game begins!
She also loves pens and will try to bite them while I'm writing!
You could try training Sydney to walk on a harness. Or you could get a fishing rod type toy, like da Bird. A laser pointer is good fun too. all these need your input so they are things you can do together

Re: My siamese kitten coming a long way

Throw his toy for him and when he gets it call him back to you, take it and throw it for him again. He should get the idea quickly. Siamese are very intelligent - it doesn't take them long to learn things Have fun
