Yeah we've had a couple like that. They don't realise how much work is involved tidying up after the kits etc and getting the house ready for visitors and then they don't even bother to let you know they are not coming...grrr...

After my last litter were sold i had several of these, wanting to know when my next litters were due or if any kittens were left - one even wrote me a fair bit about herself and told me she was looking for a pet/show girl - nothing back after i emailed them x

haven't had any no-showers yet thank god but i feel i get to know them a fair bit on the phone first anyway that if i had any incling they weren't interested i wouldn't even bother mentioning for them to come round xx at some point though someone will surprise me lol x

it just shows they was no good for my little choc boy, and i will not sell to just anyone they have to prove to me that they really want to give him a good home.

it would not have bothered me normally it is just that i had a busy day they said that they could only come at 3pm so i had to rearrange what i was doing, get someone else to pick my son up and keep him till i could get there, i like to know my house is spotless if i have someone coming in, that sounds bad i like my house spotless anyway but i could have just left today as i had planned it. so like i said normally i would have not been bothered just the wrong day to have been messed around.

know exactly what you mean,house all tidyed,kittens spotless,trays spotless,couple of puffs of air freshner,brush own hair and ...............no one comeswhats it take to pick up the phone.

Well one couple had contacted me - very interested in my kits. I sent them my usual email - a bit about the breed, grooming, etc, told them about a local show where I would be and other breeders I knew, and so on. They e-mailed back and said they would be in touch. They came to the show and came and found me. We had a long chat and they were eager to come around. They wanted to come next day - originally I said could they make it later in the week as I would be knackered after the show but they were desperate to see the kits so I said okay. I did ask specifically that if they changed their minds that they phone or drop me an email as I would be changing my plans to fit them in. They promised they would. I got up early the next door to do all the cleaning etc - even went out and clipped the front hedge (lol!) and they didn't show up. Mad, doesn't even begin to cover how I felt. I did think it was their loss and I wouldn't have minded if they had phoned/e-mailed to apologise and say they had found a kit elsewhere or couldn't make it but they didn't. I was raging!

idiots! at least you know that the kitty won't be going to a bad home though. If they can go off the idea without even seeing the kitty then imagine what they would do when the initial 'novelty' wears off

The worst one I ever had (and OK, more fool me for agreeing to it I suppose) was with some Golden Retriever puppies where I agreed to meet someone at a Tescos about two hours away from where I lived. I was also to deliver another puppy on the way back so at least there were two to go. I turned up at Tescos at the agreed location and waited and waited and waited, phoned the lady's house several times, no reply but left messages on the answerphone, didn't have a mobile number for her. She wasn't coming very far and eventually I was forced to conclude that she had just let me down. I think I waited about 90 minutes for her. She knew it was a two hour drive for me and I thought it was just possible that something had gone horribly wrong and that eventually she would phone me at home and apologise profusely, but no, just another time waster
