My kittens are neutered at 13-14 weeks, before they go to their new homes. I think my vet would do it at 12 weeks but I prefer to leave it a bit longer after the second vaccination. 9-10 weeks is quite young, I've not heard of any UK vets doing it so early. However it's done at that age in many other countries and has been for the past 30 years or so. It's us in the UK that are way behind the times as usual
