You know when you aquire a new kitten, the kitten cannot be let out until six months old vaccinated and nutered. Why dont the experts reccommend you get kitten in winter when your doors and windows are shut anyway, and kitten will come of age in time for warm weather.

Because they recommend you keep them in whatever the weather. Depends as well on breeding seasons.

my cats were out a few weeks after we got them which was around 11 weeks

we had them neutered at 9 or 10 weeks

I dont think vets would do this so young,i think they just about agree to it at 4 months old,and only a handfull will then.

That is very young!! my cat is was not allowed out untill he was at least 8months old he was nueteured at 6months.

My kittens are neutered at 13-14 weeks, before they go to their new homes. I think my vet would do it at 12 weeks but I prefer to leave it a bit longer after the second vaccination. 9-10 weeks is quite young, I've not heard of any UK vets doing it so early. However it's done at that age in many other countries and has been for the past 30 years or so. It's us in the UK that are way behind the times as usual
