Certain breeds of cats you need local government licences for like some levels of Savanahs and such like cats, I'm no expert on it but know somebody who is

I'm fairly certain you'd need a license to ensure you kept to the Dangerous Wild Animals Act 1976.

Wouldn't like to foot the monthly food bill for a cheetah either

Re: Anyone fancy a cheetah???

ahh these scams are the funniest, you only need to look on gumtree to see adverts for other exotic animals.. i garantee a deposit will be required through western union!

wouold love a cheeta though, might have to settle for an ashera cat ... only £12,000 :P

Re: Anyone fancy a cheetah???

There's a guy in Peckham who went to court to keep leopards and ocelots in his back garden, the council were over-ruled on the Dangerous wild animals Act by Magistrates (the guy had them in 100ft runs which is fine) so they tried to argue he required planning permission for them!
