:( such a worry

Oh my god, yesterday someone triced to break into our flat!
I thing is we live on a busy main road and use the back door to ensure our two house cats dont get out and they tried to break in the front door, the door was ajar with a little confused Dahlia peeping her head out!

It's so annoying they could take everything I wouldnt care just as long as I dont loose my babies!!

Re: :( such a worry

no thankfully! it was a stroke of luck my OH was in that day sorting a few things for christmas, they must have realised someone was home and left.
We got a new lock fitted ect so i feel a bit safer now, if it wasnt rented though I'd be tempted to cement the door up just to feel safer haha

Re: :( such a worry

if you don't use the door at all, could you put something heavy behind it to shore it shut or to limit how far it'll open without you moving it.

Assuming the land lord won't let you put a security bar across the door? you can always ask them for more security on the door, i'm sure they don't want theflat damaged as much as you don't want your stuff nicked.

glad nothing got nicked and your cats didn't escape
