Introducing a new cat

Hi there, I have read LOTS of different threads and articles on introducing a second cat but wanted to get another opinion on my particular situation.

I have a female Ragdoll, 20 weeks old and I've had her for about a month and a half, I just got a male Ragdoll, 17 weeks old and I got him 5 days ago. Although there is only 3 weeks between them she is quite a bit bigger than him. They're kept separated, I have him with me downstairs during the day and I'm upstairs with her through the night. I've had a feliway diffuser in each room for about a day now. I've put his sent on a blanket a couple of times and put it upstairs through the night.

I've introduced them a couple of times very controlled, he doesn't seem to bothered but she was hissing or growling whenever they got too close to each other.
Today I tried a much longer and less restricted interaction and left all the doors open. He would follow me around and she'd be running behind him whenever he wasn't looking if they got too close there was more hissing and growling, all on her part. I kept them out for about 30-40min an most of the time she wanted to know where he was and was kinda stalking him. They started getting nearer each other and she started swiping, no claws though I believe. She started doing it more and more and a couple of times he'd be on the sofa and she hop up, hit him and jump down again. He was looking quite scared so I separated them.

What do you reckon? I'll obviously keep them separated, should I keep doing little introductions? And when they do interact should I discipline her/tell her off when she growls/swipes?

Maybe it's perfectly normal but as their my first cats I just worry their not gonna get on.
