Cats and babies...

So just pondering really. We are a long way off before our baby arrives (late summer) however I've been wondering how the cats will cope. I feel like I've bombarded them with all sorts over the past year or so! We converted our garage into another room, did up two bathrooms and knocked a wall down between our kitchen and dining room! They took all the building work in their stride (in face oscar got in the way more than anything ) and could leave the house if they were stressed. Then we went on honeymoon and my sister took care of them for two weeks - I'm sure they didn't receive the care they were used to, but seemed fine when we returned and I thought this was a better solution to putting them in a cattery. In October I bought new kitten Lola home. That was hell for some time and the situation is only just starting to ease. The house has also been full since we bought Lola home as my mum and sister are currently lodging with us (hopefully moving out this weekend, so hoping to regain some normality!) And now we're going to be preparing for our own arrival.
They're already used to not having use of the room I will be converting into the nursery, so I don't think that is too big of a change for them. Plus I will be making our second spare room into another safe haven for them with beds/toys etc. I have two feliway defusers in my open plan downstairs and I am planning on getting a third to go upstairs (good job we can't smell cat pheromones - my house would stink!). What else can I do to help the situation as my due date gets closer? And what can I expect when I bring the baby home? Any experience or stories would be great They are pretty laid back cats and aren't really lap cats so I don't think they will suffer from a break in interaction but I want them to feel involved and safe, after all, they were my first babies!
