Before I got Merlin, I read a lot about diff cat breeds. Some of them said that some accepted all the family members and others had a favourite. Good thing I´m Merlin´s as my sister made it clear she doesn´t want responsibilities (she does love him a lot but he is mine). Which makes me happy as he follows me round the house and when we have visitors he leaves the room when I do. Are you in the same position or did your cat prefer another family member?

i am cheekys favourite, i'm the one who feeds and plays and gives cuddles. the kids will play with him but he's not too keen on cuddles off them.

Sybil will follow me absolutely everywhere and demands cuddles whereas she is much more wary of my OH. Basil on the other hand doesn't have a favourite and will demand cuddles from whoever is in the room! They're both rescue moggies

we each have a cats here lol Oscar preferes rich my flatmate cat and man are very alike like to sleep all day and only wakes up to eat and use the litter tray howard is my baby she will curl up on my lap and ignore everyone else tho she still expects people to try and make a fuss
jazzy-socks seems to have taken to my oh i think its because the oh is a big softy and doesnt mind being nibbled on where i like my hands with skin on

I'm Oscars favourite I like to think lol but he also adores my son and funnily enough always sleeps on hubby's side of the bed unless I'm not well then he sleeps on mine I like to think he sleeps on hubby's side so he's uncomfy and not me I am deffo Rosie's fave without any question of doubt! I'm definitely Dexter's favourite, although he does tend to prefer women in general.
Oscar is antisocial so I don't believe he really has a favourite, he's very friendly out of the house, to everyone and to us!
Lola is quite attached to my mum. I can't wait until she moves out this weekend so I can have my kitten back! She's really wary of me for some reason...

I am #1 slave in the house - I do the feeds, I clean the trays, I do the grooming so there is no question as to who is preferred in our household.

The cats will go over to the OH if he calls on them but I continue to be first choice on their list. If the OH moans about it, I just tell him to get off his lazy fat ass and contribute to their care and THEN he'll get some good cat lovin'!!!!
