It does seem quite young to have her teeth removed, but it isn't nearly as bad as it seems. Milly had all her teeth (except 2 canines) removed at about the age of 4 or 5 because she had bad gingivitis, and she is happy, loves her food and has had no problems with her mouth whatsoever since then.
Unless you can get a total cure (as opposed to long term treatment) quickly, I'd go for taking her teeth out. It's far better to do it when she's young than struggle on, spend a lot of money, put her through a lot of stress, and end up having to take them out when she's older and might not bounce back as quickly.
Knowing what I know now, I wish I'd had all Sam's teeth taken out at the same time as Milly's because he's now having mouth problems at 12 years old and the prospect of putting him through a stay at the vets and a general anaesthetic is causing me a lot of anxiety.
