Talking Dinah and Monty at 10.5 months old

I haven't been on here for a while as I've had a few real life "issues" (health-related mainly) but hoping to start posting again regularly now! I haven't updated in ages about our two little bundles so here we go...

I can't believe our two are now 10 and a half months old. Where does the time go? They are still my "kittens" and are quite kitten-like in their behaviour still, but I suppose I can't call them that for MUCH longer. It only feels like five minutes since we were visiting the tiny little fluffballs at 5 weeks old, when we could hold two of them in one hand.

They are an absolute joy and have completely changed our lives in the best possible way. There is not a day that goes by when I don't think about how grateful I am to have them in my life. They are my world! Very few people understand exactly how important and precious they are to me. (In fact the few people who do understand are probably the ones reading this now... ) They are so deeply ingrained in our lives now... I just can't imagine life without them! Our house is definitely a cat house now! Their stuff is everywhere and we don't care at all.

They recently had their first stay in a cattery when we went down to London for a 4-day break. They were as good as gold, really settled in well, and didn't even shun us when we brought them home... which is good because we're going away a few more times this year! I hate leaving them but it's fab to know that they are such adaptable, sociable cats who are happy to go away for a little while and then settle back in when they get home. It takes such a huge weight off our minds knowing they're happy there and it's a lovely cattery too - I might fancy staying there myself - they get little double-glazed "suites" with radiators and it looked so snuggly!

I just love them so much... I can't believe there was ever a time when we didn't have cats!

I haven't posted new photos in a while, so here are some updated ones of the twosome! Over the winter their "ruffs" have been developing, especially on Dinah. She's very fluffy at the moment and needs grooming regularly. We usually get out enough fluff to knit a new cat!

Oh and yes... that is a tray of snow that we brought in for them from outside. They played with it for quite a while!

Re: Dinah and Monty at 10.5 months old

Great to have you back with us Bonnie. I hope all your health issues are now resolved.

Thank you for the update on your 2 beautiful little babies - they continue to be absolutely stunning and you have every right to be their proud mommy!!

If it helps in any way, McGee will be 2yo in May and Abby the same in August - we STILL call them the kittens and they will always be the kittens whilst the OAP's are in residence!!

Lovely to see you back Bonnie and to catch up with your gorgeous kitties My haven't they grown - it hardly seems any time at all since you first posted on here about getting them
Hope all of your health problems are behind you now and look forward to seeing you around again

Re: Dinah and Monty at 10.5 months old

Good to see you back, I've said before I think your pair are scrumptious, and that certainly hasn't changed - they are just georgeous.

Glad to see I'm not the only one who brings in snow for my cats to play with.

As you said, life wouldn't be the same without our cats.

Re: Dinah and Monty at 10.5 months old

Awwww thanks so much guys! It's good to be back. Hopefully I'll be able to get around to catching up with what I've missed soon. I feel like I don't know what's going on with anyone anymore! (I bet there are quite a few new additions since I was last around... both PF members and cats! )

Here's a quick video of our two to prove what soppy buggers they are:

Oh and sorry about the giggling. Sometimes I just can't help it - they just make me laugh without trying!
