Re: Anyone tried this litter box?

I'd like to have the flap attached to mine, but I don't think the cats know what to do and are un-sure about it.

I may try and have it attached when I move house, new house new start and all that.

When I first got our hooded tray, (not sure of the brand found it at my local petshop), I took the flap off but as Olso had a habbit of digging litter out the door, I put it back on a day or so later, and they were fine with it.

Re: Anyone tried this litter box?

They are using the tray (door off at the moment) - but have decided it's fun to either take the carbon filter out of the hood and chew it, or use it as a scratching mat. Have covered it in masking tape, but do anyone else's kitties do this?

Re: Anyone tried this litter box?

I have that litter box. When I first got it I took the flap off and once Panda started using it on a regular basis I put the flap on and their hasn't been a problem.

My mum also has this box and at one point she had a litter of foster kittens who thought it was great fun to sneak attack each other in and out of the box

Re: Anyone tried this litter box?

YEY!
I put the flap on and they seem to know what to do. Put it this way, there's been no accidents anywhere.
Although they seem to be unsure about it, they are using it with the hood which is great - so much less smell.

Amber did it for months, drove me mad.

As soon as I put mine together, Molly thought it would be a good idea to try and eat the carbon filter!! So I gave up and use the the tray without it! I also use it without the flap, as Molly could get in, but was unsure how to get out

yes, don't think eating it is that good for them either - woke up to find one of them had been sick downstairs! No changes in diet - so that's the only thing I can think of!

Coco ate the filter, so we removed it to. it should be covered up better i think.
