What do your cats think of the snow?

I opened the back door for my two this morning when it was snowing quite hard.As far as I know they've not seen snow before.Harry lingered on the step, ventured out for two seconds, trying to walk where there was no snow () and then came running back in! Ingrid didn't even go near the doorstep ,just stayed back and looked quite frightened! Harry then spent ages licking himself to clean where he had been wet.The overall impression I got is that they give it a definite

Re: What do your cats think of the snow?

Cuddles hates the snow. In summer she always wants to lay on the patio.. However not so much when there's snow on it . We tried placing her on the patio once while there was snow just to see what she'd do and she ran back in pretty quick, haha.

Other then that, she lingers by the door when we open it as if she wants to go out.. But won't because she knows there is snow.. Almost as if she is longing for summer months, lol.

Re: What do your cats think of the snow?

It started snowing here this afternoon, Seb has been watching from the bedroom window, and trying to catch the snowflakes

Frankie doesn't like it he was out when it started to snow, he soon came in he's just popped his head out of the cat flap and decided against it, he's now gone up to bed to snuggle with Seb

My sadly missed Tim, loved the snow, he'd run around in it like a loony, jumping up to catch the snowflakes and eating them

Mine have favoured inside by the coal fire....

But then last year in the snow, the poor babies were neglected, locked outside, starving, covered in fleas without any love.

Thankfully the RSPCA found them and saved them.... And then we adopted them to pamper them forever

Re: What do your cats think of the snow?

One of my old cats, Plato, LOVED the snow. He used to come for walks with me (read: used to follow me down the road, while I desperately tried to shoo him home again), and used to play "catch the snowball" like a little puppy - I still have the most wonderful photo of him in midair with an exploding snowball, sadly not in digital format though. Whenever it snowed, Plato would be out there, zooming about in the snow, jumping, pouncing, and yelling for everyone else to come out and Play With Him.

He was such a little character.

Re: What do your cats think of the snow?

I just came here to talk about the snow! We've just let Lilah out to see snow for the very first time in her life. She was so cute! We recorded her reactions and I will share when it's edited.

She enjoyed it so much! She's still our indoor cat, so she uses litter box and when she saw the snow she just peed on it HAHAHAHA I have it recorded

She also was chasing the snowflakes and tried to eat it, so cute!
