Re: antifreeze - your chance to make a difference

I posted this on here last year, cant believe there are still only 3000 or so signatures on it.
But I tell you how we can all make a difference right now.....by stopping buying and using these products. Ok so we all need anti freeze in our cars, but I ask the garage to top mine up when I go in for anything else to make sure I dont have the stuff hanging round my house. I think there is one brand that is already safe but have not managed to find any to buy.
Also.....remember that the sprays that so many people use liberally on windscreens etc are also lethal....spray it on then scrape the toxic ice slush off onto the pavement where any cat or dog can get to it. It takes a bit longer to clean the car down without the spray but it can be done just as well with just a scraper.

Yours must be the one I signed then .I too am shocked at the low number of signatures on it.Good to point out ways we can all make a difference by just being more aware.

I knew antifreeze was bad but didn't realize the de-icer sprays also were but will obviously be more careful with these and only use if i absolutely need to in future.

Signed the petition too and shared on facebook
