Re: cat protection charity

I don't know of any small rescues in your area, but agree that would be the way to go. I know that when I start many I would jump at any donations/offers like that.

Good luck.

Branches are privatly run for CP usually out of peoples home, we have 250 volunteer run branches and only 29 adoption centres.
Thank you tashax thats very interesting. So could I ask the local CP I contacted and ask to be one of their volunteers and collect for them? I would work my socks off.

I give our unwanted food to a Sanctuary, maybe you could find one in your area, the one I support does not rehome, the animals that go there are ones that have had their last chance elsewhere and get a home for life, so always in need of food.

Absolutely, they are always looking for volunteers if you wanted to make collections you will need a 'permit' to collect in shops and town centres but CP would sort it all out for you

Great, I will do that tomorrow. I admit I have googled for independent charities as it seems they struggle more than the bigger charities, but I can not find any around my area.. as long as I can help cats I don't mind. I am prepared to collect in my local village which is plenty big enough and I am very active in the church. I run my husband business and work from home, so can not help out in shop hours but I can help from home. I will let you know, many thanks for your help.

Here I come furbabies... lots of Tuna and toys on there way

Re: cat protection charity

I drop any disliked food in to my local Pets at Home food basket

I've just done a google search and found the following links, not sure if any of these are close to you

Lincolnshire Animal Rescue, Dog Rescue, Cat Rescue, Rabbit Rescue, Wildlife Rescue Lincolnshire

Lincolnshire Trust for Cats

Re: cat protection charity

Hello, I am from Lincolnshire too, more specifically the Lincoln area. When we were looking to adopt a kitten, we spent ages looking for small cat rescues in the area. The only one we really found was this one:

Cats in Crisis

They were very quick to respond to my queries and seemed very friendly
