Microchipping

I have had my cat micro chipped and was wondering should i be receiving something in the post from petlog to confirm she is registered? I've not received anything yet and it's now been 2 weeks. How long should it take?

Re: Microchipping

You will receive confirmation via post but it can take quite a while. If you know the microchip number you can log in online and check/change details, which is useful. Their customer service has been great from my experience too so you could always give them a reminder email/call?

Re: Microchipping

My kitten was microchipped when I got her, so I called them to find out how to transfer ownership, it took about 10 days to receive the forms and I sent them back just after Christmas. It then took a couple of weeks for the new documents to arrive.

Re: Microchipping

It took approx a month for both Abby's & McGee's paperwork to come in. They were both new registrations.

Re: Microchipping

Was it petlog your chip was registered to? There are other companys but petlog is the main database. You watch it will be in your post tomorrow-lol,it shouldnt be much longer.I have to say though i am qualified to microchip and always get paperwork back in around a week, maybe there a bit more busy.
