Bullying cat!

We seem to have two new cats in the area and they do not like Ella, Archie and our neighbours cat Suker. They are literally attacking our cats and trying to get in the house, as well as urinating outside our house.

We had to take Ella to the vets today as her eye had been injured when one of the cats attacked her. Apart from not letting my two out does anyone know what I can do to minimise these attacks?

Re: Bullying cat!

hi

just try and be vigilant, and whenever you see them near the house/garden, shoo them away.

there was a meanie cat who used to hurt my previous cat. in the end, after lots of visits to the vet for antibiotics as well as needing an abcess drained, i went and saw the owner - we had a good chat and she agreed that if he was to come near again, i was allowed to throw water in his direction! lol

he never bothered too much after that. they moved a few weeks ago, and i must admit it's strange not seeing him lolling around on the green

i think in time they will all determine their bit of turf and who's home is who's, and will settle down - good luck

Re: Bullying cat!

Are these two cats males? And do you know if they have been fixed? Sounds like they need taking down a peg or two.

All I can advise you to do is scare them out of your garden as soon as they appear on your fence. Either a spray bottle to the face or a loud noise. A negative experience in your garden should make the cats less likely to visit it

Well they are both ginger (one is ginger and white) so I am assuming male. Not sure if they have been fixed, they have collars no with bells so they are not strays. I might do the spray bottle, as I do want to scare them away.

I caught one of them really attacking Ella, last week and went mad after it! My little girl can't fight!

Closed. It is ulcerated. We have eye drops for her and she goes back next week.

She is still beautiful tho.

It's a difficult situation to be in You will have to just keep Ella inside while you try scaring them off for good

Ohh yes, still a very purdy girly

Re: Bullying cat!

It's hard as Ella loves going out. Archie can take or leave it and it wouldnt bother him to stay in but Ella is another matter!

Re: Bullying cat!

You can supervise her in the garden...but as soon as she jumps the fence she's vulnerable. Or you can put a lead on her in the garden, but I doubt she will take to it too well

Re: Bullying cat!

She likes to saunter off. We live in a quiet close (Ella friendly when we chose the house) so she likes to go out front. I don't even think these cats live in our road as I see them a couple of streets away when I drive to work.

Just gave her the eyedrops I feel soooo bad!!!
