Question Kittens and Teething?

Shaun, our 11 week old kitten, chews everything and I mean everything! His new favourite is the stalks on bananas but he will chew anything. I'm assuming that this is because he's teething but would he have started yet? And how long will he do it for?

Thanks

Re: Kittens and Teething?

Hi and welcome to the forum

My vet advised me that kittens start to teeth around 15 weeks and should have all their adult teeth by 8 months. My Seb started around 13-14 weeks and was chewing whatever he could get his teeth in to. I gave him drinking straws, he loved chewing on those, he'd chew the tail of a big sisal mouse I found that raw chicken wings and drumsticks really helped him

To be honest, I cannot remember how long the teething lasted.

Seb is now 6 months old and what I can see, it looks like he has most of his adult teeth.

I found four teeth that I've kept in a little pot, so tiny and cute
Treaclesmum likes this.
