How many cats do you have? What breed are they and what are they called?

I'm new so I wanted to get to know you all a bit.

I've just got my first ever cats at the age of 39. I always thought I was a dog person but it turns out I'm totally a cat person.

I've got two moggies. Violet came first as an eight week old kitten who had been neglected by her mum and her siblings had starved to death because her mum was a stray. A local lady rescued her and gave her to me. She's black and white.

Elvis came along next. He's only just one. His previous owner couldn't look after him anymore because her landlord wouldn't allow pets (why do people move somewhere where they would have to give up their pets??) so I adopted him. He was called Fudge but my recently passed over dog was called Fudge so I renamed him with a name fit for a king. He's a swirly tabby with gigantic eyes.

I adore them both.

Just the two thus far (plans for more in a couple of years).

Hubby has a liking for names begining with O, I wanted Norwegian or at least Viking names so we have

Oslo is our little red tabby moggy boy, he is named in memory of OH friend who was killed during the 22/7 attacks here in Norway the week after Oslo was born - we were considering other names, but when we got him this one suited him the most.

Odin is our black moggy boy who we got 4 weeks after Oslo, this was a name we had been considering when we got Oslo, one look at Odin, and we knew it suited him.
