Messi is a very food orientainted cat he loves his treats an comes thundering out from what ever warm sleepy spot he was in at the rustle of a bag.... He hasn't come when hubby shaking bag for last half hour both my boys are indoor cats an never been out.... They 31 weeks old now but I'm so frightened he has got out his sister wouldn't think nothing of letting him past her b4 she closed the door.... And I'm stuck at work till 2am b4 I can get home!!!!! Hubby can't leave kids to go out looking for him..... And I'm beside myself with worry I only cut his nails last night how will he protect himself from the other cats in the area? He doesn't know traffic???? How am I gonna find him?? Thank god he is micro chipped ....... Just don't know what to do I prey he is near the house when I get home.

Re: feel so helpless

the only thing i can suggest is get hubby to stand by door tapping his food bowl while calling his name a bit.

if he's not home when you get back just keep trying that every half hour or so. he'll come home i'm sure xxx

Re: feel so helpless

Try not to worry Cats are incredibly resourceful and resiliant. The amount of nights I have spent worrying, only to find the cat walking in as if nothing had happened whilst we were pulling our hair out and had been scouring the hedgerows. When you do get home, it is always worth asking the neighbours to check their sheds etc. If your kitty isn't home by morning, you may want to contact: Animal Search UK, Lost pet, lost cat or lost dog? Animal Search UK - FREE Website and search services to locate your missing pets, Britain's Leading Missing Pet Search Service, 01432 761 406 (9.00am - 9.00pm, 7 days a week). Good luck xx
