Re: kitten transport

That is a very long journey for any animal, I would say drive with multiple stops.

Re: kitten transport

It is a long journey so may be quite stressful but doesn't mean it cannot be dine. Perhaps you could do the journey over a few days. There are cat friendly hotels and b&bs. Possibly you could find a few of those to break the journey up. I don't know, just thinking out loud maybe.

Is it a kitten you already own?

Re: kitten transport

Still a long way on the train, sounds like flying would be the quickest option, not sure what the cost would be as i am sure the carrier woud be placed in the hold.

Re: kitten transport

There are specialist animal couriers who would do it for you but obviously it won't be cheap - but at least (in theory) they would be mindful of the kitten's welfare and any transport they use would be adapted towards the pet's welfare. Are you getting this kitten without seeing it or have you been to see it? Just google "pet couriers" - give them the postcodes and have them come back with a quote - ask them how they look after the cat/how many stops they have etc.
