i have had to put opened tins of cat food in a sealed container, due to my cat being smart and annoying at the same time! lol

both cats are about 9 months, they have a constant supply of go cat complete dry, i alternate the flavour every few days. they get a dish (each) of meat every night before i got to bed, and they get half a dish each in the morning. They also get a shallow dish of milk diluted with water (only one a day) and have easy access to the dogs water dish (they wont drink water out their own dish)

However.. Milo often decides that i haven't given him enough meat, even when their is biscuits left and started jumping onto the worktop (not allowed) and opening the cupboard above the kettle to pull the tin of cat food out, i was finding it on the floor and they had eaten out of it.

They are not underweight, they were at the vets for a check last week and are fit and healthy. why are they doing this?!

Ha ha! Short answer - because they can! Clever kits! They obviously prefer the tins to biscuits and are probably not that hungry but are tempted by the tinned food which they can probably smell.
I keep opened packs in the fridge and leave them out for a few minutes before feeding as my two don't like cold food. I use the pouches because it's more convenient. Gizmo has two a day and Mai Tai at the moment has one split into two meals.

oh well i guess i just keep putting the tin in a sealed container then. lol. i tried the plastic lids you get for them but they dont stay on when they fall on the floor.

aaaw wow they are so gorgeous the dogs are nice too I like dogs.

Our two are the same, you'd think they were half starved the way they wolf down their food when I put it down! One bit of advice - don't be fooled by what's on the packet of their food, they often put a higher amount than your cat needs (or so our vet says anyway!) to encourage you to buy more.
