Re: spinal injury

Have you had x rays etc done? Why is the vet saying to PTS? Is she paralysed?
If her spine is damaged and she has lost feeling in her legs/bladder/bowel to keep her alive would be a very difficult 24/7 job. What exactly happened?

Re: spinal injury

So sorry to hear of your poor cat my cat was run over last year and he was in intensive care for 2 weeks! One week in the vet thought he might have to be PTS but he survived! Not the same injuries but certainly swrious injuries. Good luck to your little one and hope he pulls through x

Re: spinal injury

Hi, dont want to make you feel bad, but that happened to my cat a few months ago. He couldnt use him bladder and after a week of his bladder being expressed which was so painful for him I had to let him go. It was the kindest thing I could do for him, but the worst for me. He was 18 months

Re: spinal injury

So sorry to hear what has happened, i lost a cat the same way, and my vet said my cats quality of life would not be very good at all, in fact long term she would suffer, so i did what i thought was the kindest thing i could do for an animal i loved, i let her be free from pain , she is now over rainbow bridge, running free from pain.
Sending you hugs xx

maybe wait a bit and see what happens but otherwise sadly, i would say to do whats best for her, and let her run away pain free to rainbow bridge...
